The Las Gallinas Lions Club is a service organization serving the San Rafael community. We meet the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7:00pm at the Marinwood Community Center. Our Lions Club recently celebrated our 30 year anniversary. We aim to make this a better community to live in by supporting local organizations and hosting a number of events. Our Easter Egg Hunt at the Marinwood Community Center has been a longstanding tradition. We also host other events such as our St. Patrick’s Day dinner, Crab Feast, Father-Daughter Dance, Halloween Parade, and Oktoberfest Dinner. We have taken the lead in organizing our local Community Emergency Response Training in order to prepare for a disaster. Our members have also taken part in other community projects such as helping construct the Edible Garden Project at Miller Creek Middle School and planting bulbs to beautify the Marinwood Farmers Market and surrounding public use areas.
